Very rare rolling block single shot 14 bore Shotgun by Dexter Smith.

No Licence Required .

Dexter Smith (1833 - 1892) was the only son of Horace Smith, co-founder of Smith & Wesson. Born on Hickory Street in Springfield, Dexter worked as a machinist in the first shop formed by his father and D.B. Wesson. Dexter made many shotguns and carried on the great name until his death in 1892, and this is where the Smith family line ended as he was the only son of Horace.

This 14 bore rolling block shotgun is classed as a Section 58 (2) NO LICENCE IS NEEDED TO PURCHASE AND OWN as part of your collection.

This historical shotgun has a 30 1/4" barrel with a very good bore, the length of pull is 14 1/4", made between 1871 and 1881, serial number #996 and is for sale for only £995

Winchester Highwall target rifle Model 1885, made in 1886 in the much sort after calibre Winchester 32-40.

Very good bore, 30" heavy barrel, mechanically perfect and shoots to the point of aim as if it were new ! this classic rifle has been used in the distant past and probably left standing in a closet for decades, a very rare find, its a genuine Winchester Highwall in great condition, only £1,750


Antique Stevens tip up rifle in 0•38 RF

Antique Stevens single shot tip up rifle in the obsolete calibre 0•38 rim fire. In original condition, overall length is 42 1/2", 28" barrel, of which the first 10" is octagonal, and the remaining 18" is round, length of pull is approx 12 1/2". The bore is very good, the action is very good, it even has the original adjustable flip up sight, only £499.

Joshua Steven, born in Chester, Massachusetts in 1814. Apprentices as a machinist in 1834. Around 1838 he was engaged by gunmaker Cyrus B. Allen, Springfield, Massachusetts. Later he became a Colt employee in his Hartford, Connecticut plant. Stevens worked on improvements of the Colt guns. In 1864 Stevens created his own J. Stevens & Co. company composed of Joshua Steven, James E. Taylor and William B. Fay. They manufactured tip-up rifles based on Steven's patent no. 44.123. This patent was the basis for almost all of the Stevens guns. In 1888 the company's name altered to J. Stevens Arms & Tool Co.
